Our Latest Undertaking - Supporting Seminarians in India
We agreed at our January meeting that this was a worthy cause to sponsor holy men of God in their calling to be future priests. We are happy to add this mission to our list of acts of charity in preserving all life from conception to natural death. If you would like to support this ministry, there is a donation button on our home page to access.
Thank you for responding to God's call.
Thank you for responding to God's call.
Donations also help us paid the stipend for each Mass we book at each church for our goal of one Mass per month with the intention "To end abortion." That is $120 for each parish in our diocese.
If you would like to help us, there is a donation link on our home page. Or use our contact page to contact us.
If you would like to personally have Masses said in your parish or diocese "To end abortion", please let us know the day, date, time and parish so we can post the Masses. We appreciate Masses outside our diocese, too

![]() Greetings from the Catholic Diocese of Parassala, India!
From: Thomas Mar Eusebius (bishop©malankarachurch.org) To: themazys©sbcglobal.net; Date: Friday, October 26, 2018 7:44 AM Dear Mrs. Sandy and Mr. Ray Mazy, Loving greetings from the Catholic Diocese of Parassala, India! Reverend Thomas Babu, your pastor informed me of your gracious willingness to sponsor a seminary student of this diocese for seven years. I am very glad to know that and we remain deeply thankful to you for your generosity. Parassala is a mission diocese which is just one year old. Fortunately, we have 16 new candidates for priesthood in the seminary. All of these young men come from very poor family background and consequently, they are not in a position to meet their seminary expenses. Therefore we are forced to approach generous people in this need. We may require around $ 100 per month to meet the expense of an individual seminarian. If you would like to make the donation by checks, you can either hand over the check to Fr. Thomas Babu, or you can send it to my address (Bishop Thomas Mar Eusebius, Catholic Bishop's House, Ayira P.O., Parassala, Trivandrum, Kerala, India - 695 502). As a new diocese, we do not have yet the facility to receive direct foreign contribution (that means, a check written in the name of the Diocese, cannot be used presently). Therefore, you may either write the check in my name (Bishop Thomas Mar Eusebius, Bishop of Parassala) or in the name of Father Thomas Babu, who can then send the money to us (or even in the name of your parish, if Fr. Thomas Babu agrees to that). Please be assured of our prayers for your family. May God continue to bless you. Yours lovingly in our Lord, + Thomas Mar Eusebius Bishop of Parassala |

Dear Mr. Ray and Mrs. Sandy Mazy, Thank you very much for your kind reply to my email. I was very busy the weekend. Hence the delay in getting back to you. Once again, we express our gratitude for your readiness to sponsor one of our seminarians. I would like to assign Nitheesh Simon, a very good young candidate who joined the seminary just this year. (If you need more details about him, I am prepared to provide that). While you pray for him, I shall ask him to remember both of you and your family in his daily prayers. I will also ask him to pray for your special ministry, which is definitely such an important and crucial need of the time. I congratulate and thank you for standing so boldly and committedly for the cause of the unborn and I assure you of my personal prayers for the success of your wonderful works. I am glad that you will introduce our need (support for seminarians) to the members of your group. That will be a great help for us. Once again sincere thanks and may God continue to bless your family. Yours lovingly in our Lord, + Thomas Mar Eusebius |

The Syro-Malankara Catholic Church will have a new diocese at Parassala. The new eparchy will come into being by bifurcating the Major Archdiocese of Thiruvananthapuram with the St. Mary’s Malankara Catholic Church in Parassala as its cathedral.
Bishop Thomas Mar Eusebius has been appointed the first Metropolitan of the diocese. He is currently the bishop of St. Mary Queen of Peace Eparchy in the United States and Canada.
The announcement was made by Baselios Cardinal Cleemis, the Major Archbishop-Catholicos of the Malankara Catholic Church, after prayers that were held at the St. Mary’s Cathedral, Pattom, on Saturday.
Cardinal Cleemis also announced that Bishop Philipose Mar Stephanos, the Auxiliary Bishop of the Thiruvalla Archdiocese, has been appointed the new bishop of the eparchy in the US and Canada. Monsignor George Kalayil has been appointed as the new bishop of the diocese of Puthur in Karnataka in the wake of Bishop Geevarghese Mar Divannasios stepping down from the position due to health-related difficulties. John Kochuthundil, the Vicar General of the Thiruvananthapuram Major Archdiocese, has been appointed as the Curia Bishop and the Apostolic Visitator to Europe and Oceania. The appointments were made after receiving pontifical assent for the nominations.
The new diocese of Parassala will be established by including the parishes in the ecclesiastical districts of Parassala, Neyyattinkara and Kattakada and two parishes in the ecclesiastical district of Thiruvananthapuram. The new diocese will have 103 parishes, 71 educational institutions and three centres of charity. St. Theresa of Kolkata is the patron saint of the new diocese, which will be the fourth to be bifurcated from the Major Archdiocese of Thiruvananthapuram.
With this, the Church will have 11 dioceses and one exarchate.
The episcopal ordination of those being elevated as bishops will be held in Adoor on September 21. The inauguration of the Parassala diocese and the ordination of its Metropolitan will be conducted on September 23. The ordination of the new head of the Puthur diocese will be on September 30.
